This is Melly. She is a Mully.
Just a refresher, Mullies are made of two pyramids. Mullies have hands and Mullies love to eat insects. You might find them in your garden, snatching dragonflies, bees, moths...or any other little creatures, like crickets, for a snack.
Mullies are a little bit awkward, just like you and me. But they're caring and understanding and incredibly loyal. You can always count on them to be there when you need them.
Melly has beautiful fingernails which are painted pink. Melly is a little bit overstuffed. She's been snacking on too many dragonflies. She was our first patchwork experiment, pieced together from equilateral triangles.
Making Melly, the Mully
Here are some behind the scenes images of making Melly the Mully. We are still working out the geometry of Mullies. There are some refinements that will make them feel a little more complete, but at the moment we are really leaning into their awkwardness and the way the shapes fit together but only just.
